A non-profit organization called The Association of Computer Information Technologies Companies was formally founded this month. According to its founding members, the association’s main goal will be to promote the interests of various IT companies and the whole IT industry in Russia. The association currently comprises 34 companies, including both Russian and foreign firms. The terms of participation will be the same for all members regardless of their size or whether they were among the founders. The board will consist of seven people, half of which will be replaced every six months. The board will hire an executive director, while the general meeting of the Association should elect a president. The Association plans to announce the first results of its work in six months time.
